Questions About a PsyD in Kentucky

Which Is the Best PsyD Program in Kentucky?

In the 2027 ranking, Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Kentucky is first among the PsyD programs in Kentucky, with a score of 67.7 out of 100 and 18th place nationally. Its program page is Eastern Kentucky University’s page for the Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology. The score weighs cost, graduate earnings, completion, internship and licensure outcomes, track record, credential alignment and program reputation, and the methodology page shows each weight.

What Does a PsyD Cost in Kentucky?

Three ranked programs in Kentucky list a yearly tuition, from $18,860 to $38,340, with a median of $24,618. Where a program’s cost table lists both an in-state and an out-of-state price, this page counts the in-state price (Western Kentucky University); the ranking’s cost score uses the out-of-state price for every program alike. A program card labels its tuition figure with the period and rate its school printed, and Read More lists the in-state and out-of-state prices where the cost table gives both.

Does Kentucky Require an APA-Accredited PsyD?

The licensing statute and the board’s education regulation do not name APA accreditation. KRS 319.050 asks for a doctorate in psychology the board accepts, from a regionally accredited institution, and 201 KAR 26:200 describes the program the board looks for, with three years of graduate study and a full academic year in residence.

Three. The EPPP comes first, at a scaled score of 500 or greater. Once it is passed and the supervised experience is approved, the candidate takes a jurisprudence exam on Kentucky mental health law, passed at 80 percent, and a competency exam on ethical principles and professional practice, passed at 100 percent.
