What Puts a Program on the Christian List and How It Is Ordered

A program is among the Christian PsyD programs here when IPEDS records its school as affiliated with a Christian denomination, or its own pages say it integrates a Christian faith tradition into training; the list is ordered by each program’s Methodology v2 score out of 100, the same score it holds on every list.

Scores come from Methodology v2, version 2.0, which weighs cost (20 points), graduate earnings (20 points), completion (15 points), internship and licensure outcomes (15 points) most heavily; it ranks every program once, and each list filters that ranking.

The first test is IPEDS, the federal postsecondary data system: its 2023 institutional characteristics record a religious affiliation for each school that reports one, and the list counts a Christian denomination, read October 21, 2026 from the Education Data Portal. The second is the program’s own page, which must say it integrates a Christian faith tradition into training. APA’s disclosure question about policies tied to an affiliation or purpose is not a test, because a yes does not name a religion. A program at a school with no affiliation on record is on the list only through its own page.

Questions About the Christian List

Which Program Ranks First Among Faith-Based Options?

Baylor University (Waco, TX) ranks first among the Christian PsyD programs, with a score of 79.6 out of 100.

How Many Faith-Based Programs Are Ranked?

38 APA-accredited programs are on it. A program is among the Christian PsyD programs here when IPEDS records its school as affiliated with a Christian denomination, or its own pages say it integrates a Christian faith tradition into training; the list is ordered by each program’s Methodology v2 score out of 100, the same score it holds on every list.

How Are Faith-Based Programs Scored?

The Christian PsyD programs are scored once, and each program keeps the score it holds on every other list. Methodology v2, version 2.0, scores every ranked program out of 100 on cost (20), graduate earnings (20), completion (15), internship and licensure outcomes (15), track record (10), credential alignment (10), program reputation (10). The methodology page explains each factor and its source.

Does Every Program Here Teach Within a Faith Tradition?

Not every one. A program is on this list when IPEDS records its school as affiliated with a Christian denomination, or when its own pages say it integrates a Christian faith tradition into training. A school’s affiliation does not by itself mean the doctoral curriculum is taught within that tradition, so read the line on each card, which says which test the program meets, and the program’s own page.

What Is the EPPP Pass Rate for Faith-Based Programs?

The median first-time pass rate among the 31 programs on this list with an ASPPB rate is 68%. ASPPB reports 75% for all accredited doctoral programs, and recommends a passing score of 500. ASPPB, EPPP scores by doctoral program.
